Description

Towards inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable cities.

As cities across the world grow rapidly, they are increasingly vulnerable to urban violence, natural disasters, climate change and poverty. This day-long event brought together key insights on urbanisation and development from the latest research by the Overseas Development Institute.  These insights shed light on pathways towards ensuring inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable cities in line with current proposals for an urban Sustainable Development Goal.

The day featured highly interactive presentations, discussions and informal networking opportunities with key thinkers in this domain, and brought together a range of experts to facilitate a broad dialogue on this inherently multi-faceted topic.

Lunch was provided and the event was followed by a drinks reception.
