Description

As we approach the 15th anniversary of the UN Security Council resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, urging all actors to increase the participation of women and incorporate gender perspectives in all UN peace and security efforts, this event will explore the psychosocial services available to adolescent girls within post-conflict settings. What are the remaining challenges? And what are the complexities of moving this agenda forward?

Drawing on findings from a two-year ReBUILD/DFID-funded study exploring support for adolescent girls in the post-conflict settings of Gaza, Liberia and Sri Lanka, this event will explore psychosocial stresses faced by adolescent girls and the types of support services available to them in these contexts.
