					<description>&lt;div&gt;We are looking for a senior Research Fellow to help lead the development and delivery of a portfolio of research, policy advice and public affairs on climate finance. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;You will have a strong background in public expenditure analysis and public finance management to augment the existing team. You will also have an understanding of donor approaches and country-level issues in strengthening government planning, budgeting and financial management processes.  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The role will be split between the Climate Change, Environment and Forests (CCEF) programme and the Centre for Aid and Public Expenditure (CAPE); as a senior member of both teams, you will help to shape a multi-disciplinary research and policy-engagement agenda. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Other key responsibilities include:&lt;/div&gt;&lt;ul&gt;
 &lt;ul&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;research and policy advisory work: &lt;/em&gt;conducting high-quality applied research; &lt;/li&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;fundraising&lt;/em&gt;: attracting funds through bids and marketing, including the development of a substantial personal research portfolio;&lt;em&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;public affairs&lt;/em&gt;: disseminating and promoting the work of CCEF and CAPE.&lt;em&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
 &lt;/ul&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;div&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The successful candidate will have:&lt;/div&gt;&lt;ul&gt;
 &lt;ul&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;a degree and post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline;&lt;/li&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;an impressive record of leadership in research, policy advice and public affairs, with extensive knowledge and experience of key issues and organisations in aid and development finance, and public finance management; &lt;/li&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;experience in policy-orientated research, demonstrated by a track record of publications and reports;&lt;/li&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;extensive developing-country experience; &lt;/li&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;strong analytical skills, a capacity to write clearly and excellent organisational and oral communication skills;&lt;/li&gt;
  &lt;li&gt;the ability to translate research ideas into fundable projects;&lt;/li&gt;

					<description>&lt;div&gt;This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to provide administrative and financial project management support to research staff from proposal stages through to project completion. You will also provide general support to the research programme, and facilitate the flow of information internally between researchers and central support departments, as well as externally with a variety of stakeholders. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;If you are educated to degree level and have excellent organisational and administrative skills, strong experience in monitoring budgets, and are able to monitor project deliverables, this could be the job for you. You must be able to multi-task, with the ability to manage a large workload, often to tight deadlines. You will have advanced IT and communication skills as well as excellent written and spoken English. A background and interest in international development is desirable.&lt;/div&gt;
